Holden, Wayne Leroy (8 March 1941 - 30 March 2009)

Wayne Holden, 68, of Neillsville died Monday, March 30, 2009 at the House of the Dove, in Marshfield.

Wayne Leroy Holden was born March 8, 1941, in White Creek, the son of William and Emma (Gerard) Holden. He farmed in Levis Township, worked for Nelson Muffler and Figi’s and drove semi-truck for Smith Transport in Loyal.

He is survived by his significant other, Dorothy Riggins; children, DuWayne, Sharon, Sandy, Darrell, David and Brian; many grandchildren; brothers, John and Bill; and a sister, Norma Rogney. Wayne is also survived by his best friend, his dog, Poncho.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marge, Ceil, June, Kenneth, Gen, Don and Norman.

Funeral services for Wayne will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Wayne’s family with funeral arrangements.
