Hamm, Nancy #2 (10 JUN 1950)

Nancy Hamm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hamm, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Earl Sailer, son of Mrs. Clara Sailer, when they repeated the nuptial vows in a beautiful church ceremony which was held at ten o’clock Saturday morning, June 10th, 1950. The ceremony was performed at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in this city with the couple repeating the vows after Father Raymond Bornbach.

Attractively gowned the bride was dressed in a white satin gown having lace inserts and a waist length veil which fell from a beaded heart shaped headpiece. She carried a bouquet of red carnations with white streamers. Attending her were Miss Ruth Sailer, sister of the groom, and two of the bride’s cousins, Misses Gaymond and Shirley Stasek. Miss Sailer wore a gown of aqua over net and matching gloves and headpiece, and white accessories. Miss Gaymond Stasek wore aqua net over an aqua satin gown. Shirley’s gown was similar in design except that it was pink. All had matching accessories and each carried a bouquet of white carnations.

The groom and his attendants all wore light brown business suits. He was attended by his brother, Gordon, as best man, groomsmen were N. Stock Jr., Medford, and Leon Sailer, another brother.

A twelve o’clock dinner was served to the couple and guests at the Fremont Hotel as was a six o’clock supper. Early that evening the couple left on a wedding trip through northern Wisconsin.

Both of the young people are well known in this community and are the recipients of the best wishes for their future happiness by their many friends.

The bride received her early schooling at Forest Grove School and is a graduate of the Owen High School. Mr. Sailer is a graduate of the Dorchester school system and is presently employed by a local trucking concern.
