Wiese, Lois M. (Marriage - 28 Dec. 1945)

Miss Lois M. Wiese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiese, of Abbotsford, and Bert O. Shankin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shankin, of Amherst, were united in marriage on Friday, Dec. 28, at the Presbyterian manse at Edgar. The Rev. George E. Griffiths read the double ring services in the presence of the immediate families of the bridal couple at 8:00 o’clock in the evening.

For the occasion the bride wore a Copen wool frock and a black sequin trimmed calot. She wore a shoulder corsage of pink roses.

Attending her was Miss Priscilla Shankin, Milwaukee, sister of the groom. She also wore a blue wool dress with a corsage of pink and white baby chrysanthemums.

James Wiese, brother of the bride, was the best man.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1942, and has since been employed at the Employers Mutual in Wausau. The groom is a graduate of the Amherst high school, class of 1941.

Mr. and Mrs. Shankin left on Monday for Amherst where they are living on the groom’s farm.

Attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shankin, Amherst; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiese and Miss Nina Wiese and the bride’s grand mother, Mrs. George Dickenson, Wausau.
