Grinnell, Elaine (9 SEP 1950)

The Grand Avenue Congregational Church, Milwaukee, was the setting of a very pretty candlelight wedding which united Elaine Grinnell, daughter of Mr. Walter Grinnell of Oregon, Wis., and Donovan Sorenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Sorenson of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.). The ceremony was performed at two o’clock Saturday, Sept. 9th, 1950, with the Rev. Avery, pastor of the parish, officiating.

The bride wore an organdy ballerina length dress and a close fitting cloche of organdy held her shoulder length veil. Her all white bouquet was gladiolas, roses and baby mums.

Miss Audrey Grinstad of Oregon, niece of the bride, was her attendant. She wore aqua organdy ballerina length dress with matching head piece. White gladiolas and red roses formed her bouquet.

Mr. Donald Sorenson, twin brother of the groom, was best man.

Following the wedding a reception was held at the Donald Sorenson residence in Milwaukee for the close relatives.

Mrs. Sorenson is employed as secretary for an insurance company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The groom is a machinist at the Automotive and Aircraft Supply Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The couple are making their home at 3261 N. Fourth St., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
