Wiita, Hilma (20 SEP 1950)

The marriage of Mrs. Hilma Wiita to Frank Maki occurred at three o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 20th, 1950, when the two exchanged marriage vows in a ceremony performed in the parsonage of the Bethany Lutheran Church. The Rev. V. A. Puotinen read the nuptial service.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hoakla, Owen.

That evening at 8 o’clock a reception was given the newlyweds in the church parlors which was attended by more than 200 guests.

Mr. Maki is a pioneer resident of this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), having been successfully engaged in the occupation of farming from which he has now retired. Mrs. Maki is a native of Chassell, Mich. After a stay here of several weeks, the couple will leave for Chassell, where they will reside this winter.
