Hilber, Alex S. (18 July 1923 - 13 June 1988)

COLBY, WIS. - Alex S. Hilber, 64, Colby, died Monday at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby, Wis. The Rev. Bruce Ball will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home in Colby after 4 p.m. today. The V.F.W. Service will be at 7:15 p.m., with the Parish Rosary Service at 8 p.m., both at the funeral home.

He was born July 18, 1923, in Marathon, to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hilber. He attended Marathon schools.

He married Lucille Adam Aug. 21, 1946, in Edgar. She died May 17, 1984.

He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for the Colby School District as head janitor from 1956-78, when he retired.
