Dommer, Ruby Anne (Justman) (9 JAN 1929 - 15 NOV 2013)

Ruby A. Dommer, 84, of Colby, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013, at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Colby.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. Interment will be held at Colby Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ruby A. Dommer, age 84, of Colby, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Colby. Ruby was born on January 9, 1929, the daughter of Louis and Pauline (Domer) Justman in Riplinger, WI. She graduated from Unity High School and worked as a secretary for Melvin Laird.

On August 27, 1949, Ruby was united in marriage to Delphin Dommer at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Together they farmed in the Town of Hull, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby her entire married life. Ruby enjoyed her cats, playing cards, and traveling with her husband after they sold the farm. She especially loved her family and cherished her grandchildren.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 64 years, Delphin of Colby; five children: Jerry "Father Ian" of Collegeville, MN, Judy (Alan) Stehlik of Pleasant Prairie, WI, David (Mary) of Colby, Dennis (Pam) of Marshfield and Debby (Darrell) Lueth of Medford; ten grandchildren: Alan Michael, Jonathon, Travis, Nicholas, Shawna, Sarah, Jessica, Kristin, Jennifer and Lindsey; eight great-grandchildren: Bradyn, Ellie, Sage, Hunter, Casey, Ella, Layla and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin-sister, who died at birth; and two sisters: Joyce and Lorraine.
