Franz, Kristy L. (24 January 1985 - 13 April 2009)

Kristy L. Franz, age 24 years, of Thorp, formerly of Colby, Wisconsin died Monday, April 13, 2009 in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Community Alliance Church in Withee. Pastor Dylan Valliere will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in the Town of Hixon. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. There is no visitation prior to services on Friday at the church in Withee.

Kristy was born January 24, 1985 to William and Carol (McFarlane) Franz, Jr. in Marshfield. She attended Colby Elementary School in Colby and graduated from Loyal High school. She was employed both at ADS Services in Greenwood as well as the Willow Ridge Day Care in Thorp. Kristy belonged to the Friendly Group Social Club in Withee. Her dear family remembers Kristy as one who was ALWAYS ready to help anyone with anything. She was an avid jewelry designer as well as a gifted quilter.

Kristy is survived by her loving parents: William and Carol Franz, Jr. of Colby; her maternal grandmother Donna McFarlane of Willard; her siblings: William Franz, III of Eau Claire; Donald (April) Franz of Chili; Donna (Dan) Post of Hewitt; Clarence Franz of Thorp and Crystal Franz of Neillsville. She is further survived by her nieces and nephews: Seasha, Kyler, Alexis, Stacy and Angel and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: William and Dorothy Franz, Sr., a maternal grandfather Donald McFarlane and a nephew Isaac.
