Willard (10 June 1971)

Misses Nina Bayuk, Angela Auman, Linda Koschak and Kathy McFarlane left last week for Winnetka, Ill., where they expect to be employed during the summer.

Dinner guests last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Backus and family were Mr. and Mrs. John Severson, Fridley, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. William Backus and Kim Sue, Brooklyn Park, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. William Vollrath and Vicky, David and Ricky, and Mrs. Eva Severson. Two of the families also spent the weekend at the Backus home.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bertrand of Detroit, Mich., spent the weekend with Mrs. Theresa Matkovich. Mr and Mrs. Frank Cerne and children of Chicago, Ill., were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fortuna and family. They were accompanied back by Charlotte Fortuna who went to Evanston, Ill., for the summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Pakiz and family of Superior spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pakiz and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Garner and their families.

Mr and Mrs. William Gradisher and children of Westchester, Ill., Joseph Godec, Mrs. Caroline Klancher and James, and Mrs. Anna Richter, all of Milwaukee, were guests last weekend of Mrs. Dora Fortuna. Mrs. Fortuna returned with the Gradisher family for a two-week stay.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Pozega and Lisa of St. Paul, Minn., were here last weekend. They were accompanied by Pvt. and Mrs. Duane Pozega who came by plane from Missouri to St. Paul.

Guests last week at the home of Rose Stamcar were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stamcar, Sr., and family of Sheboygan, Miss Frances Stamcar of Kenosha and Mr. and Mrs. John Stamcar.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Meinholdt of Milwaukee spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meinholdt.

Roney Volovsek left for Milwaukee where he is employed since last week.

Miss Gail Susa and friend of Milwaukee spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Noah.

Eleven members of the Willard Social Club enjoyed a dinner at the Wildcat Inn Wednesday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz and son, Robert, were in Eau Claire Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pekol, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pekol, Jr., and children and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hagen and Peggy attended the wedding of Clara Rakovec to Jim Blum last Saturday in Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lesar, Jr., and sons, Roney and Jim, of Ely, Minn., were here last weekend with relatives. Miss Frances Lesar returned with them from Fridley and Ely, Minn., where she visited relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey LaMarr and sons of Racine were at the homes of Mr and Mrs. Louis Lesar, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Auman and family last weekend.

Miss Rosalie Auman left for River Falls last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Jon Johnson and Nancy Arch, all of Milwaukee, spent the weekend at the Ernest Arch home. Other guests there were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kaczmarek of Evergreen, Colo.
