Hirsch, Everett C. (1886 - 19 July 1946)

Internment of the body of Everett C. Hirsch was made at Colby, Monday afternoon.

Everett Hirsch, 60, brother of C. J. Hirsch, of Abbotsford, was widely known as an educator throughout Wisconsin, and was superintendent of schools in Wausau the past 12 years, before his death at a Wausau hospital, Friday night.

Mr. Hirsch was born in the town of Scott, Sheboygan county and spent his boyhood in Marathon county. He attended the Unity and Colby schools, as well as the Oshkosh Normal school from which he received his Bachelor of Philosophy degree. Later he received his Masters degree in Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin.

He taught at Birnamwood, Loyal, Park Falls, and Rice Lake before going to Wausau in 1934.

Mr. Hirsch was married to Miss Emelyn Cook, of Unity, June 15, 1912. She died July 19, 1944. He was married to Miss Florence Olmstad at Fremont, Mich., June 9, 1945.

He is survived by his widow and two sons, Donald E. Hirsch, Washington, D.C., and Allen S. Hirsch, Pittsburgh, Pa., and his brother, C. J. Hirsch, of Abbotsford, Wis.
