Soeffker, Ella (Marriage - 15 Aug. 1946)

At high noon today, Miss Ella Soeffker, of Abbotsford, and Herman Vircks, of Stetsonville, exchanged marriage vows in the parsonage of St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler read the double ring service.

Attending the couple were Miss Delores Vircks and Donald Vircks, children of the groom.

For the occasion, the bride chose a wool suit of gray, with a white pin stripe. Her accessories were blue and white and her corsage was made of peach gladioli.

Miss Vircks wore a gold colored wool suit with green and white accessories. She wore a corsage of orchid gladioli.

Following the ceremony dinner was served for 12 guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hoeft, brother-in-law and sister of the bride.

In the evening a wedding dance was held at Walter’s pavilion.

Mr. and Mrs. Vircks left on a week’s wedding trip to Minnesota and southern Wisconsin and after Sept. 1 will be at home to friends on the groom’s farm at Stetsonville.

Before her marriage, the bride was employed at the Abbotsford post office, which position she resigned a few weeks ago.
