Dettman, Johanna #2 (6 AUG 1835 - 30 MAY 1907)

For the first time in many years death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marth and last Thursday claimed Mrs. Johanna F. Dettman, who for 25 years had made her home with them. Mrs. Dettman was suddenly taken ill about seven weeks ago, but although her illness was a tedious one she endured the physical pain with great fortitude and greeted all who called upon her with her usual cheerful smile and sunny disposition.

Mrs. Dettman was born Johanna Fusks at Berlin, Germany on Aug. 6, 1835. She was early left a widow and 25 years ago came to this country to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marth. She leaves three daughters and two sons to mourn her departure.

The funeral services were held from the German Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. H. Brandt officiating. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful.
