Little Vida Mead has been spending a few days with her grandma Warner.

Owing to the recent rains, work began on the river here again Sunday.

Jule Walters, with his driving crew of about 50 men, are camped above the dam.

Mr. Nesbit had been in town the past week looking after the driving interests here.

Mrs. Steve Moore went to Eau Claire Saturday returning Monday, and reports May improving.

A telegram was received here to-day announcing the death of Wm J. Armstrong which occurred yesterday.

C. W. Dewey and wife went to Mellen Saturday to visit their son, Anson, returning the first of the week.

Chas. Varney drove down to Greenwood Saturday and hauled home the new town safe. It cost $80, but was something the town was very much in need of.
