Baehr, Arthur George (2 May 1867 - 25 Sept. 1946)

Funeral services for Arthur G. Baehr, 79, who died Wednesday at his home, will be held on Saturday afternoon. The body is lying in state at the Fuchsgruber Funeral Home at Dorchester, where services will be conducted at 1:30, to be followed at 2:00 o’clock by services at St. Peter’s Lutheran church. The Rev. F. Sprengler will conduct the rites. Internment will be made in Memorial cemetery at Dorchester, Wis.

Besides his widow, Mr. Baehr is survived by the following children: Mrs. Herbert (Elva) Wilhelmi and Herbert Baehr, Abbotsford; Mrs. Rudy (Cora) Ewig, Decator, Ala.; Mrs. Norma Kramer, Milwaukee; and Walter Baehr, Dorchester, Wis.

Funeral services for Arthur George Baehr, 79, who died at his home, Wednesday, were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Fuchsgruber Funeral Home at Dorchester, and at 2:00 o’clock at St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler conducted the services after which internment was made in Memorial cemetery.

The pallbearers were Arthur, Earl and Vernon Baehr, Arthur and Otto Pargee, and Eldon Zasoba.

The flowers were carried by Miss Helen Ewert, Chicago; Mrs. Paul Bedrosky, Milan; Mrs. Harold Phalzgraf, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Earl Baehr, Withee; Mrs. Joe Brown, Cudahy; and Mrs. Otto Pargee, Abbotsford, Wis.

Arthur G. Baehr was born May 2, 1867, in Germany. He came to America at the age of 11 with his family, settling in Milwaukee for a short time, and then came to the farm near Dorchester, Wis. He lived in this vicinity since then and for the past 47 years on the present farm.

In his early years Mr. Baehr worked in local coal kilns for about 12 years and had the position as road patrolman of the county for 15 years.

Mr. Baehr was an active church member and served St. Peter’s Lutheran church as treasurer for 30 years.

He leaves his widow and five children; Mrs. Herbert (Elna) Wilhelmi, Abbotsford; Mrs. Rudy (Cora) Ewig, Decatur, Ala.; Mrs. Norma Kramer, Milwaukee; Herbert Baehr, Abbotsford, and Walter Baehr, Dorchester, Wis. Seven grand children also survive.

Three children preceded him in death: Alma, Alfred and Arnold.
