Umlauft, Lorraine Marie (Marriage - 22 Oct. 1946)

Miss Lorraine Marie Umlauft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Umlauft, Dorchester, and Louis J. Laski, Withee, exchanged wedding vows in St. Louis; Catholic church, at Dorchester, Tuesday morning at 9:00 o’clock. The Rev. Phillip T. Weller officiated at the double ring service with the church choir singing the response to the High Mass.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white taffeta wedding gown, made with long sleeves, and a chapel train. A beaded yoke distinguished the bodice and her finger tip veil was caught to a beaded tiara. She carried a shower bouquet of red and white roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Ladonis, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, came from Berwick, Pa., to serve as best man and matron of honor. Other members of the bridal party were Mr. and Mrs. Anton Riegut, Stetsonville, brother-in-law and sister of the bride.

Mrs. Ladonis wore a green frock and flowered head band. Mrs. Riegut’s dress and head dress were of pink taffeta. Both had corsages of red and white roses.

After the ceremony, dinner was served and 75 guests attended a supper at the Umlauft home.

Mrs. Laski was graduated from the Dorchester high school. Her husband served in the Ordnance department in World War II. After nearly four years of duty, part of which time was spent in the E.T.O., Mr. Laski was discharged in January, 1946. He is now a mechanic at Lamont’s Service at Abbotsford, Wis.

A wedding dance was held at Walter’s pavilion, at Colby, Wis.
