Klinke, Florence M. #2 (14 MAR 1926 - 16 APR 2009)

Florence M. Klinke, 83, Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenwood, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Follmar and the Rev. Richard Bayuk will co-officiate. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kip Keckler, Kris Keckler, Brad Behrens, Mitch Behrens, Weston Hoeper and Jonathan Klinke.

Florence M. Bayuk was born on March 14, 1926, in Willard, to John and Balbina (nee Oman) Bayuk. She lived in Willard, on the family farm, with her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. She attended Hillsboro high School and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1943. In 1947, she graduated from Saint Joseph’s School of Nursing, and worked 25 years at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in OB and ICU, until retiring in 1992. on Sept. 24, 1947, she married Alvin Klinke at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. They had 11 children. They enjoyed hosting fun-filled parties for family and friends at their cabin at Rock Dam. She loved animals and nature, and in her later years, took up quilting. She will be remembered for her selflessness, caring spirit, and wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include her children, Dolores (Richard) Hastreiter, Hudson, Edward Klinke, Greenwood, Patricia Klinke, Madison, Kathleen (John) Sytkowski, Kenosha, Robert (Lonna) Klinke, Greenwood, Michael (Carole) Klinke, Greenwood, Joan (Jeff) Hoeper, Greenwood, Mary Lou (Tom) Behrens, Willard, Sandy (Greg) Herrick, Willard, Ronald Klinke, Willard, and Peggy (Craig) Smith, Willard; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Edward Bayuk, Willard.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Alvin, on March 29, 1993; five sisters. Genevieve Quast, Gertie Godec, Dora Fortuna, Mayme Cesnik, and Verna Hollman; and four brothers, Joe Bayuk, William Bayuk, Albert Bayuk and Frank Bayuk.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or St. Mary;s Memorial Fund.
