Kleinstick, Shirley (Marriage - 7 Dec. 1946)

Miss Shirley Kleinstick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kleinstick, of Abbotsford, became the bride of Norman Brocker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Brocker, of Tomahawk, Saturday, Dec. 7, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ceremony was read at 6:00 o’clock at the St. Thomas’ Lutheran church by the Rev. F. Eske.

The bride wore a winter white suit, trimmed with gold nailheads, and winter white hat. Her accessories were black. She wore a gardenia corsage.

Attending her as maid of honor was her sister, Betty, of Abbotsford, Wis. Miss Kleinstick wore an aqua street dress with black accessories and a corsage of pink carnations and purple sweet peas.

Clifford Brocker, brother of the groom, as best man, and Lloyd Mellenthin, both of Milwaukee, attended the groom.

Dinner for about 25 guests was served at 8:00 o’clock at West Allis at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Sweek, brother-in-law and sister of the groom. A three tier wedding cake topped by a miniature bride and groom, was the centerpiece of the table. Crepe streamers were used to decorate the home. A wedding dance was held at the Rudolph Cocktail Lounge.

Mr. and Mrs. Brocker are making their home at 746 S. 34th street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The bride, who is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1946, has been employed at Gimbel’s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The groom, who served as a marine, is employed by the Pabst Brewing company.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kleinstick and daughters, Betty and Claryce, attended the wedding.
