Philip Kohl raised a large .basement barn last Saturday.

Several farmers have cut their rye and barley and the crop seems quite promising.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Conmoyer went to Pittsville last Sunday on a visit to relatives.

A bouncing baby boy (*Edward Hilbert) arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Eyers a. few days ago.

Road districts No. 3 and 4 received each, one new Western road machine a few days ago.

Peter Hanson held a dance in his new barn last Saturday evening which was well patronized.

Quite a large party of Marshfield young people picnicked at Yellow river west of Bakerville Sunday.

There was a dance at Otto Bruhn's new cheese -factory at Yellow river bridge last Saturday evening.

Mr.and Mrs. Louis C. Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. M. Berg of Marshfield visited at Bakerville last Sunday.

The Christian Endeavor Society will hold an entertainment at the Nasonville Woodmen hall Friday evening.

Mrs. Addie Kohl and sister Miss Lilian Couture of Marshfield, visited out this way on Thursday of last week.

Jesse Sherman came home on Thursday of last week on a vacation, and will help his father in the harvest field.

The board of review met at an adjourned meeting at town clerk's office on Monday the 15th and completed the assessment roll for this year.

The afternoon passenger train on the Omaha railway killed a young cow belonging to Chris Hanson at the Ebbe crossing last Saturday.

Willie Wood is laid up with a sprained ankle.

Jess Sherman is home visiting his parents for a few days. Mrs. Ed Burtt of Marshfield is visiting friends and relatives here for a few days.

What has become of the mail carrier's new mail wagon. We are led to believe it is too beautiful to take out for fear he will get it muddy.

The noise of the binder is now taking the place of the mower. A few have cut their rye and wheat already which promises to be a good crop.

Milk brought 79.5 cents per 100 Ibs. on the average at. Nasonville cheese factory for the month of June.

Wm. Roder has the hay to cut on shares, on the old Gid Bodah place. He wishes good weather for a while yet.

Peter Hanson gave a dance in his new barn on last - Saturday night to about 70 couple and Mrs, Bruhn also gave a dance m her cheese factory at Yellow River bridge on same _ evening, and all report a tip top time.

Philip Kohl raised the frame to his new basement barn last Saturday It is reported that he will give a dance in it on Saturday next, July 25- Of course the young folks will not have any grudge against Philip for that.

It was noticed last week that Geo. Eyers didn't haul his milk to the creamery as he used to do, but had it sent up with a neighbor. When asked what was the matter he smiled and said, "It was an 11 pound boy" that came to brighten his home on Thursday of last week.
