On Saturday afternoon, May 17, Miss Carmen Ruth Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Schultz, became the bride of Clyde Laverne Broeske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Broeske, at Christ Lutheran church. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler read the marriage service at 1:30 in the afternoon.

With her entrained white satin gown the bride wore white velvet slippers. Her long, lace edged veil fell from a head dress of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a shower bouquet of lilies, roses and snapdragons.

Mrs. Leichtnam, as matron of honor, wore a frock of pink rayon crepe with a floral wreath and veil. Mrs. Gruenke wore a pink taffeta frock with a similar veil. About 100 guests attended the reception and supper held at the home of the bride’s parents, decorated with streamers of white, pink and blue, fastened to wedding bells. In the evening a wedding dance was held at the Trianon ball room.
