Frank E. Umlauft, 94, of Dorchester, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Memorial Health Center in Medford.

Services are pending at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester, Wis.

Frank E. Umlauft, 94, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Memorial Health Center, Medford.

A Mass will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Abbotsford from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

He was born May 2, 1915, to Rudolph and Anna (Pueschner) Umlauft in the town of Holton, Marathon County. He married Esther Kloth on Nov. 21, 1939. He served in the military during World War II. He farmed and held office in Dorchester and the town of Holton.

He is survived by his wife Esther Umlauft; children, Diane (John) Hoeper of Rothschild, Louella (Lloyd) Luedtke of Schofield, Lois (Ronald) Waldhart of Medford, Rodney (Mary) Umlauft of Stetsonville, Renee (Bob) McNamar of Medford, Julie (Steve) Lapp of Dorchester, and daughter-in-law Delores Umlauft of Sherwood; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Juedes of Dorchester and Marcella Oehler of Campbellsport.
