Miss Lenore E. Heiman, daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Heiman of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Francis J. Giwojna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Giwojna, Neillsville, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp on Thursday, May 21, 1953. Rev. Arnold Muckerheide performed the ceremony at a nine o’clock Nuptial Mass. Bouquets of rose gladioli adorned the altar. May 21 was also the 35the wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents.

The bride who was escorted to the altar by her father, chose a gown of white lace over satin entrain. A Peter Pan collar and net yoke trimmed with seed pearls detailed the bridal gown. A tiara of seed pearls held her lace trim fingertip veil and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and stephanotis. The bride placed the bouquet on the altar of the Blessed Virgin.

Miss Loretta Micke, maid of honor, wore a pink net gown over taffeta with net scalloped yoke and sleeves, and a three tier skirt. Miss Theresa Mertens and Miss Nancy Giwojna, bridesmaids were gowned in similar headpieces and cufflets matched their gowns and each carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and stephanotis.

Edward Giwojna attended the bridegroom as best man and Elmer Heiman served as groomsman. Ray Giwojna and Leonard Heiman ushered.
