Zawacki, Alexandria #2 (6 JAN 1869 - 23 JUN 1953)
Mrs. Alexandria Zawacki, 84, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Sypniewski at Chicago, on Tuesday, June 23, 1953, where she had made her home for the past eleven years.
The deceased was born in Poland on Jan. 6, 1869 and was united in marriage there in 1888 to Stanley Zawacki. She came to America in 1913 with her husband and children and settled on a farm in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) where she resided until retirement in 1926, and then moved to the village of Thorp.
She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth, Mrs. John Sypniewski, Chicago, Anne, Mrs. John Kliminski, Thorp, and Philomena, Mrs. Andrew Jarocki of Withee; two sons, William and Stanley of Thorp; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1926 and one son John died in Poland.
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Saturday morning, June 27, Rev. Francis Piekarski officiating, assisted by Fathers Zoromski and Father Knopka. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Justin Jakowicz, Frank Zawacki, Donald Sypniewski, Ted Zawacki, Justin J. Jakowicz and Chester Kliminski.
