Harper, Julia (6 JUN 1868 - 25 JUN 1953)

Mrs. Julia (Logue) Harper was born June 6, 1868 in Grant County, Wis. and passed away on Thursday morning June 25, 1953, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Lewis Pagel.

She was married in 1888 to Henry Harper who preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1934.

To them 9 children were born, Turon Harper and William Harper of Eau Claire; (Nettie) Mrs. Lewis Pagel and (Jessie) Mrs. Walter Bohn Sr. of Thorp; 3 daughters, (Jennie) Mrs. Edwin Ramberg, (Clara) Mrs. Alfred Hansen, and Marth, and an infant daughter, and one son, Fred, who died in World War I, preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her, 4 children, ? grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Harper came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) vicinity in the Town of Reseburg in 1902, till in the spring of 1911 when the family moved to a farm in the Town of Worden where she lived until 1934. The remainder of her life was spent in the city of Thorp.

The funeral was Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Izydorek Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Lelan Shaw officiating.

Her 5 grandsons were pallbearers: Henry Pagel, John Pagel, Louie Pagel Jr., Donald Ramberg and great-grandson, Ronnie Pagel.

Relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Sigurd Leskinen and family of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pagel and family of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Buss and son of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pagel and family of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Leskinen and family of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stelter of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pagel Jr. of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Leskinen and family of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Delphin Slais of Goodrich; Mr. and Mrs. Scott Johns of Viroqua; Mr. and Mrs. emery Johns, Arkdale; Mrs. Adolph Wald and daughter Jacqueline of Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Turon Harper and family and William Harper of Eau Claire.
