Gottschalk, William (17 Oct. 1889 - 10 Aug. 1947)

William Gottschalk, 57 years old, a town of Colby farmer, was injured fatally at about 9:30 o’clock Monday morning in a threshing accident.

Gottschalk apparently was caught while working near the machine and thrown into the mechanism. His left side was cut severely and he died enroute to the Colby clinic. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The fatal accident occurred on the Walter Ebeling farm, near the Gottschalk place, west of Colby, Wis.

Survivors include his widow and 10 children, Mrs. Orville (Alvina) Baumgart, Colby; Lucille, at home; Myrtle, Chicago; and Arnold, Carl, Albert, Harvey, Reuben, Elroy, and LaVerne, all at home.
