Jensen, Beulah M. (Marriage - 26 June 1948)

At 2:00 o’clock, Saturday, June 26, Miss Beulah M. Jensen and Melvin L. Fischer exchanged marriage promisesd in a double ring ceremony at Immanuel Lutheran church, Medford.

The Rev. Richard Mueller read the nuptial service for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur O. Jensen, Dorchester, route 1, and Mr. Fischer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fischer, Medford.

Included in the bridal party were Miss Charlene Jensen, Chicago, sister of the bride, maid of honor; Misses Vera Jensen and Joanne Viegut, bridesmaids; 5-year-old Sandra Lea Jensen, flower girl; Frank Hundriesen, Chicago, best man; Clifford Fischer and Bruce Jensen, ushers.

The bride wore a gown of entrained white slipper satin fashioned with a fitted bodice and long sleeves coming to points at the wrists. She wore a finger tip veil, edged in lace, draped over a tiara of pearlized apple blossoms, and carried a cascade bouquet of white gladioli and red roses.

The maid of honor was in pale blue and the bridesmaids in pink. Their ninon gowns were styled with off-the-shoulder necklines and fitted bodices. Matching mitts and bonnets of net encircled with roses, completed their ensembles. They carried bouquets of pink and white carnations. The flower girl’s formal was made of ivory flowered taffeta. Pink and white carnations also made up her junior bouquet.

Supper was served to about 150 relatives at the home of the bride’s parents. A dance was given at Spreen’s at Lake Esadore in the evening and a midnight lunch was served to relatives and close friends.

After a week’s wedding trip through northern Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada, the couple will reside six miles west of Stetsonville where the bridegroom is engaged in business with his brother.

Mrs. Fischer is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and her husband was graduated from the Medford high school.

Among the wedding guests were friends from Waukesha, Goodrich, Withee, Colby, Abbotsford, Wausau, Hales Corners, Menomonie, Madison, Janesville, Brodhead, Unity, Medford, and Stetsonville, in Wisconsin, and relatives who came from Rochester, Minn., Chicago, Ill., and Reinbeck, Iowa.
