Feit, Jean (Marriage - 3 July 1948)

A wedding of interest to Abbotsford residents is that of Miss Jean Feit and Patrick James Entminger, both of Stevens Point, at St. Mary’s Catholic parsonage, on July 3.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Feit, of Unity, formerly of Abbotsford, and the niece of Miss Laura Olson, Abbotsford, Wis.

Two Stevens Point people, Miss Donna Farris and Roman Dragula, were maid of honor and best man.

White satin was used for the bridal gown with marquisette insertions at the neckline. Seed pearls and rhinestones were used for trimming the bodice. The three-quarter length veil was edged with Chantilly lace and was attached to a Juliet cap of lace and seed pearls. The bride carried a shower bouquet of American Beauty and white roses.

Miss Farris wore a gown of yellow ninon and carried pink and white carnations.

After the ceremony, which was read by the Rev. Nicholas B. Beschta at 9:30 o’clock, a breakfast was served the wedding party at the home of the bride’s parents. Dinner was served there to immediate relatives at noon and a 5:00 o’clock supper was held that evening for 100 guests at St. Mary’s gym in Colby, Wis. The reception began at 2:00 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents.

The newlyweds left on a week’s wedding trip, after which they will reside in Stevens Point, where Mr. Entzminger is a shoe salesman. His wife has been employed as a beauty operator in Stevens Point for the past two years.
