Hantke, Leo A. (26 February 1898 - 22 February 1952)

Leo Hantke, age 54, of the Town of Grant, died at the Neillsville hospital on Friday. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, February 25, from the Bergemann Funeral Home at two o’clock. Rev. William Koehler was the officiating clergyman. Interment was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.

Mr. Hantke was born on February 26, 1898, in the Town of Grant to Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hantke. He attended elementary school in the Town of Grant. He served in the armed forces in World War I and World War II. He had been employed in Marshfield since 1945. Due to ill health he came to his home in the Town of Grant last November.

He is survived by his step-mother Mrs. Otto Hantke, two brothers, Reuben of the Town of Grant, and Tony of Neillsville, one sister, Mrs. Walter (Lily) Klapper of Green Bay, and one step-sister, Elsie Wolf of the Town of Grant.
