Djubenski, Mary (Marriage - 10 Aug. 1949)

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Maslanka are now at home to friends and are living at the E. N. Jacobson home.

Their marriage took place at a nuptial mass at Holy Family church, Willard, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, with the Rev. J. J. Novak, of Greenwood, officiating at the ceremony.

The bride, the former Miss Mary Djubenski, is the daughter of Mrs. Catherine Djubenski, of Willard. The groom, son of Mrs. Maslanka, of Butler, has been employed as mechanic at the Motor Inn Garage for the past three years.

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a white satin gown with a fitted bodice, with lace inserts and buttons down the back. It had long sleeves and a long train. Her head dress was of white satin in a hat form with a finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and red roses and carnations, tied with a white satin ribbon.

Her attendants were her sister, Miss Fannie Djubenski, as maid of honor, dressed in a yellow taffeta gown with a matching hat; Miss Audrey, cousin of the groom, was bridesmaid and wore a blue sheer gown with matching hat.

The groom was attended by the bride’s brothers, Andrew and Roger Djubenski.

A reception and dance were held at the bride’s home at Willard with relatives and neighbors in attendance.
