Word has been received of the death of Ed. R. Mitchell, at Bayfield, in March. Mr. Mitchell, a former resident, operated a tavern and also a shoe store in Abbotsford while here and formerly owned the house where the Ralph Scheel family lives.

He is survived by his second wife and one son and a daughter.
