A beautiful wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Church, 2226 N. Hayne Ave. Chicago, Ill., on Oct. 25, 1953 at 2:00 p.m., when Adeline D. Jaskot, daughter of Mrs. Sophie Jaskot, became the bride of Henry Marcheski. Bouquets of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums decorated the altar. The Rev. Stanley Wayslik, C.R., read the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her brother Stanley, the bride chose a French lace gown with a fitted bodice in nylon tulle pleating with rhinestone trim. A bouffant skirt of French lace with nylon tulle sides in three tiers with a long train.

Her fingertip veil was secured by an all around crown of seed pearls, sequins and rhinestone trim. The bride carried orchids and lily of the valley.

The maid of honor was Miss Alice Ratajczyk. Her gown was a combination of shrimp satin bodice and full net skirt. Her bouquet consisted of an orchid with white netting and baby orchids. Her headpiece was of shrimp net with rhinestones.

The bride chose her cousin, Irene Jaskot, niece Dolores Kowalczyk and her twins sister, Eleanor Sierocinski as bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns to that of the maid of honor in shrimp satin and net and carried the same bouquets.

The groom chose a dark blue tuxedo with lily of the valley boutonniere.

Andrew Powalish was best man. Groomsmen were Casey Kowalczyk and Leonard Sierocinski. They wore dark blue tuxedos with white carnation boutonnieres.

The bride chose as flower girl her niece, Janice Jaskot. She wore a gown of white net over nylon with a hoop skirt. Her headpiece was of white net. She carried a colonial bouquet of baby orchids.

John Jaskot, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. He carried a square satin pillow with lily of the valley and white satin streamers.

For the occasion the bride’s mother was attired in an orchid lace dress. The bridegroom’s mother wore a blue dress in sequin trim. They wore white orchid corsages.

A reception was held at the Homan Paradise with 350 guests attending. The music was furnished by Eddie Zima’s Orchestra.

After spending their honeymoon in Miami Beach, Florida, the newly married couple are now residing at 1636 N. Talman.

Out of town guests for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Jaskot and sons, Waucoat, Ill., Mrs. Sophie Jaskot, Mrs. Frank Kroll and Bobby, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jaskot and twins, Mrs. Verna Slupski, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Beidal, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gac, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kaczmarek, Marion and Norbert Teclaw, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
