  Bergerson, Georgina (1903? - JUN 1909)

 Georgina Bergerson, the little six year old daughter of Mrs. Peter Bergerson met a horrible death from burns at her home eight miles north near Chippewa City.  About eight o’clock little Georgina picked up a match on the kitchen floor and went outside in the backyard with her two little brothers, Joseph, aged 7, and Francis, aged 3.  They built a little playhouse out of sticks and into this Georgina crawled.  Once inside she attempted to build a fire and light the match.  As she was cramped into the stooping posture the flame of the match ignited her dress, which quickly blazed up.
