Cutter, Evelyn R. (23 JUN 1909)

Last Wednesday evening at 8:30 o’clock a pretty home wedding occurred at the residence of Mr. Mary E. MacMillan, when her daughter, Miss Evelyn Ruth, became the wife of Francis Charles Cutter.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. Postelthwaite of Marshfield, a brother-in-law of Mr. Cutter, in the presence of relatives and a few friends.  Miss MacMillan was attended by his brother, Roy Cutter.  The bride wore a white lingerie gown and carried a bouquet of white roses and maiden-hair ferns.  The bridesmaid wore a pink gown and carried a bouquet of sweet peas.  The wedding march was played by Mrs. F. B. Wing, a sister of the bride, and "Beloved, It Is Now" was sung by Miss Ethel Ring.  The house decorations were of sweet peas, peonies and ferns.  Mr. and Mrs. Cutter left on the midnight train for Minneapolis, and after spending a week there, started on the lake trip for their home at Schenectady, N.Y.II'

Mrs. Cutter is one of Neillsville’s (Clark Co., Wis.) most pleasing and winsome young ladies.  She is a graduate of the city schools and of Stout School at Menomonie.  She has a winning disposition and smile, and while her friends regret that her home will be so far distant, yet they know that she cannot but bring happiness and contentment to the fortunate young man whose home she will preside over.  Mr. Cutter is responsibly connected with the American Locomotive Works at Schenectady and is a young man with a promising future.  He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Cutter of Minneapolis and has made many friends on his visits here by his pleasing carriage and integrity.

Mr. and Mrs. Cutter will make their home at Schenectady upon the completion of their wedding trip.  The Times extends its cordial congratulations.

The out of town guests at the wedding were, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Cutter, Roy Cutter, Celia Cutter, Mrs. R. H. Cutter of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Johnston of St. Charles, Minn.; Rev. and Mrs. Postelthwaite and daughter of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Wing and Mrs. J. w. Saxton of Abbotsford; Misses Moran and Wright of Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Garrison of Thorp.
