Amidon, Charles (1849? - 11 JUL 1909)

Friends of Charles Amidon, who formerly resided here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), will be grieved to learn that he was drowned at Hayward last Sunday, where he has resided for the past years.  Mr. Amidon was fishing in the river and slipped and fell from a boom into the water and was drowned.  Mr. Amidon was a man of about 60 years of age and was a conscientious and honorable gentleman, and his untimely death is a very sad bereavement.  Walter Amidon of Tioga (Clark Co.) was a son of him.
