Wollum, Judith Ann (Marriage - 21 June 1952)

 

Judith Ann Wollum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Wollum of Owen, was married Saturday, June 21, to John W. Sabol of Chicago. The ceremony was performed at 4 o’clock at the Congregational Church in Owen.  Officiating at the double ring service was the Rev. A. Meinhardt.

 

The bride was given away by her father.  She wore an illusion pink gown with nylon net and carried pink roses.  Her matron of honor was Mrs. William Wollum; her bridesmaid, Miss Lee Koss, and her junior bridesmaids Billie Jean Wollum and Kathryn Sabol.  Best men were William Sellar and Leonard Austerlade, both of Chicago.  Ushers were William Wollum of Owen, Marvin Wollum of Princeton, Ill., and George Sabol of Chicago.

 

The organ was played by Mrs. A. Meinhardt; solos were sung by Eugene Koplitz.  Decorations were pink and white peonies.

 

Following the ceremony a reception was given to 75 guests in the dining hall of the church.

 

The young people are spending their honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, and will after July 6 be at home at 5629 Maplewood Ave., Chicago. Both are employed in the insurance business in Chicago.

 

Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. John Sabol of Chicago, parents of the groom; and the following from Chicago: Mr. and Mrs. George Sabol and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Pieniazeck, Mrs. Jerry Kowal and daughters, Joseph Sabol, Miss Lee Koss, William Sellar and Leonard Austerlade.  Also attending were Mrs. Walter Baars of Galesburg, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Wollum of Princeton, Ill., Miss Janice King of Onarga, Ill., P. O. Wollum of Portland, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. M. Leinenkugel of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. William Voshmik and Mr. and Mrs. C. Mock of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Voshmik of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. George Winrich of Blair, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Peterson of Neillsville, Mrs. E. C. Pazcoe and daughter of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Froom and family and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Koch of Wausau, Marvin Roberts of Lake Mills and Mrs. Robert Mattson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
