Trewartha, Helen (Marriage - 21 June 1952)

 

Miss Helen Trewartha and Robert T. Prochnow repeated their nuptial vows at a ceremony performed at the home of the bride’s parents on Saturday, June 21.  The Rev. R. Banks Blocher, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Trewartha, 1113 E. Division St., Neillsville, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Lawrence Wiesen, 761 Berlin St., Waupaca. The bride was attired in a dark green suit and wore a corsage of yellow roses.

 

Miss Margery Deans of Hammond, Wis., her maid of honor, wore a tan suit and a pink rose corsage.

 

The groom was attended by Donald Trewartha, a brother of the bride.

 

Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served to twenty guests.

 

The bride was graduated from the Neillsville High School and from Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point with a bachelor of science degree in education.  She was also a member of the Omega Mu Chi sorority.  She was engaged in teaching at Manawa for two years and the past school term was instructor in the Plymouth schools.

 

The groom graduated from the Waupaca High School with the class of ’43 and is employed as a salesman at Elgin, Ill.

 

The young couple will be at home at 665 Tillie St., Elgin, Ill., after June 28.

 

Guests present for the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wiesen, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wiesen, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Prochnow, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Peters, John Pietenpol, Ruth Pietenpol and Margery Deans.
