Johnson, Vera B. (9 FEB 1952)

At a wedding ceremony performed at four o’clock Saturday afternoon, Feb. 9th, 1952 in the Alliance Chapel, a local couple were wed in a lovely church ceremony when Vera B. Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vachon, Soperton, Wis., became the bride of Herman Neuman, route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).  The couple repeated the nuptial vows after Rev. Shaw of Stanley.

Attending the couple were the bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Crow of Superior.

The bride wore a grey suit with pink accessories enhanced with a shoulder corsage of pink roses and white sweet peas.  Her attendant also wore a grey suit with blue accessories and a shoulder corsage identical to that of the bride’s.  The bridegroom wore a grey business suit while his best man wore a business suit of dark blue.

Following the ceremony a six o’clock dinner was served to 150 guests at the Owen Community Hall which was appropriately decorated with streamers and decorations of pink and white.

The couple will reside in Owen, living in the Third Ward on Fifth St.  Mr. Neuman is employed as a fireman at the Frederick Post Co. in the city.

Among those there for the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. George Crow and family, Superior, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neuman, and Herbert and Albert Neuman, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Busche, West Bend, Wis.; Mrs. Russel Johnson, Milwaukee, and many friends and relatives from the communities of Owen and Withee.
