Potted ferns and bouquets of mums adorned the altar of the Methodist church, Colby, for the 7:00 o’clock candlelight service Saturday evening that united in marriage Miss Betty Jean Bender and Dr. Frank F. Nelson. The Rev. Harvey Schall was the officiating clergyman.  
 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender, Colby; and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Nelson, Kenosha.  
 

The bride, a graduate of the Wisconsin State College, Oshkosh, taught school in Medford and Shawano and for the past year had been employed at the University Library at Madison. Her husband, a graduate of the School of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, is associated with the Country Clinic at Colby, Wis.  
 

The newlyweds will make their home in Colby, Wis.
