Nelson, Myrtle (8 MAR 1952)

 

Miss Myrtle Nelson and Virgil James Ivey were married in the Navy Chapel at San Diego, California on March 8, 1952.  The double ring ceremony was performed by a Methodist Chaplain.

 

The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Nelson, Millston, Wis.  Virgil (Jimmie) is the son of Mr. Kathryn Ivey of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), route 1.

 

For her wedding the bride wore a grey suit with pink accessories.  Her corsage was of gardenias.

 

Mrs. Glen Ivey Jr. was the bride’s matron of honor.  She wore a navy blue suit with white accessories and a corsage acted as ushers.

 

Those present at the wedding were Mrs. Jerry Rathbore of Los Angeles, Instructor Chief Harris and family, and friends and classmates of the groom at the base.

 

The newlyweds will live in San Diego where Virgil is stationed for the next 18 months, having 18 months, having recently graduated from the Commissary School of the U.S. Navy.
