Final rites were conducted for Vincent Ignowski, resident of the Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.), on Wednesday, Jan. 21 from St. Hedwig’s School Chapel at Thorp with Father Francis Piekarski officiating.  Burial was made alongside his wife in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Adam, Anton and John Lesnewski, Frank Janack, John Graikowski and Adam Waiter.

The deceased was born on April 4, 1876 at La Mont, Ill.  On July 9, 1901 he was united in marriage to Katherine Lesnewski.  The couple resided on a farm in Illinois for 15 years prior to moving to Wisconsin in 1917, settling on a farm in the Town of Withee.  In 1926 his wife passed away but Mr. Ignowski continued to pursue his chosen vocation of farming until a few years ago.  The past year his health began to fail and he had made his home with his nephew, John Lesnewski, in the Town of Hixon.

Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. John (Evelyn) Rogalski, Thorp; and Mrs. Ed (Josephine) Sluzewski, Owen; three sons, Joseph of Chicago; John of Taylor, Wis., and Michael of Portland, Oregon.  One daughter, Elizabeth, passed away when a youngster of four years of age.
