Lueth, Gretta (Marriage - 17 Jan. 1953)

The Second Congregational church, Eau Claire, provided the setting at 7:00 o’clock Saturday evening for the candle light ceremony that united in marriage Miss Grettta Lueth, Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fielder Lueth, Route 1, Curtiss, and James Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Haven Nelson, Eau Claire.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white satin gown. She carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses.

Attending the bride were Miss Louella Venskie, Nelson, and Mrs. Steve Nelson, Eau Claire, as maid of honor and bridesmaid, respectively. They wore light blue taffeta formals and each carried a bouquet of pink carnations.

Bud Nelson was best man, and Steve Nelson, Eau Claire, groomsman.

A reception was held in the church parlors after the ceremony, and a wedding dance was held at Idlewild.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school. When the couple return from a wedding trip to Chicago and Milwaukee, they will make their home at 215 Third Street, Eau Claire, where both are employed.

Guests at the wedding were from Abbotsford, Curtiss, and Eau Claire.
