Miller, Joachim #2 (29 MAY 1868 - 11 SEP 1953)

 

Funeral services for Joachim Miller, 85, of Colby, were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, with the Rev. Otto Hoffmann officiating.  Burial was made in the Green Grove Cemetery.  Mr. Miller had been ill for several months and died at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 11, at his home in Colby.

 

Joachim Miller was born May 29, 1868 in Germany.  He came to the U.S. in 1885 and lived on a farm in the Town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.).  He married the former Bertha Bandow on April 3, 1897, in the Town of Green Grove, and lived there until they retired in 1931 and moved to Colby.

 

Surviving him are his wife and three children, Mrs. Halver (Meta) Becken, Colby; Raymond, Town of Colby; and Wilbert, Town Green Grove.  There are also 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  A brother, John Miller, Owen, and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Ebert, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Otto Sommer, Neenah, also survived him.
