Brunner, Raymond (10 Aug. 1915 - 6 June 1954) 
 

Raymond Brunner, 39, died Sunday morning at 4:00 a.m. at a Milwaukee hospital as a result of a blood clot. He had been hospitalized for five weeks, during which time he underwent four serious operations. The body was brought to the Zink Funeral Home where it lay in state until Wednesday noon when it was taken to Christ Lutheran church.  
 

Services, held at 3:00 o’clock, were conducted by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler. Miss Minna Scheuler served as organist and the childrens’ choir sang "In the Garden," and "Heaven Is My Home." Burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.  
 

The pallbearers were Kenneth Anderson, James Eggebrecht, Harold Kalepp, Arvin Kramer, Fred Kieser, and Harold Zank. 
 

Raymond Brunner was born Aug. 10, 1915, in the town of Holton. When he was two years old, he was stricken with infantile paralysis, which left him partially paralyzed. At the age of 5, his parents moved to Abbotsford and he attended grade and high school here. The past three years he made his home in Milwaukee. He had never married.  
 

He is survived by his mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernitt. His father, Charles Brunner, preceded him in death and his only brother, Lyle, was killed in World War II.
