Krueger, Patricia Eleanore (Marriage - 11 Dec. 1954)

A double ring ceremony united Miss Patricia Eleanore Krueger and Melvin H. Leffel in marriage Saturday afternoon, Dec. 11. The service was read at 1:00 o’clock at the Evangelical Lutheran church, Curtiss, with the Rev. M. F. Egge officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krueger, Curtiss; and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Leffel, Colby.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a dinner at the Curtiss Hall followed.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown designed with a bodice of Chantilly lace detailed with a pointed collar and long pointed sleeves. The bouffant skirt was formed of three tiers of net. Her finger tip veil was secured to a crown of seed pearls. Her bouquet of red roses and white carnations was interspersed with tiny bells.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Arlene Krueger of Milwaukee, and the Misses Bernadine and Marcella Leffel, of Colby, sisters of the groom. They were attired in frocks made alike with net skirts, velvet bodices and jackets. They carried colonial bouquets of carnations. The maid of honor wore burgundy and the bridesmaids, dark blue.

Henry Leffel, Colby, cousin of the groom, was best man and Frederick Krueger, of Curtiss, brother of the bride, and Eli Krueger, of Marshfield, cousin of the bride, were groomsmen. Ushers were Harold Strade, cousin of the bride, and Leo Leffel, brother of the groom.

Acting as flower girl was Pamela Krueger, sister of the bride. She wore a floor length white dress with sequin trimmed bodice. In her hair she wore flowers and carried a nosegay bouquet of pink and white carnations. Keith Weller, of Abbotsford, cousin of the bride, carried the rings on a satin pillow.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a 4:00 o’clock dinner was served at the Lutheran parish hall. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Dorchester Memorial hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Leffel are at home to friends on a farm east of Colby.

Guests attending the wedding came from Minnesota, Marquette, Mich.; Milwaukee, Rice Lake, Cumberland, Wausau, Marshfield, Curtiss, Colby, Milan, and Abbotsford.
