Stszeszynski, Peter (29 July 1890 - 16 Jan. 1955)  
 

Funeral services for Peter Stszeszynski, 64, who died Sunday, were held Wednesday morning at 10:00 o’clock at the St. Hedwig’s Catholic chapel, at Thorp. The Rev. F. A. Piekarski officiated at the requiem high mass and at the internment which followed in the parish cemetery.  
 

The pallbearers were friends from Thorp, Joseph Sopiartz, Paul Konieczny, Thomas Polnaszek, Joseph Tobola, Anton Lesniewski, and Adam Lesniewski. 
 

Peter Stszeszynski , born July 29, 1890, at Thorp, was one of a family of five boys and five girls. He received his education in Thorp and was married to Miss Sophia Iwaience in Chicago, in August, 1917. The young couple lived at Chicago and St. Paul for a few years and then moved to Thorp where he operated the General Merchandise Store and later a tavern. Five years ago they bought the 13 & 29 Club in Abbotsford.  
 

Mr. Stszeszynski was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Jan. 10 and underwent surgery. Death occurred Sunday, Jan. 16 at 3:00 a.m. 
 

He is survived by his widow and two children, George, and Mrs. Leslie (Eleanore) Jacobson; three grand children, of Chicago, and four brothers and five sisters. 
 

Members of the immediate family attending the funeral were the children, Mr. and Mrs. George Stszeszynski and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Jacobson and son, Robert, of Chicago; the four brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Stszynski, mr. and Mrs. Mike Stcynski, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stcynski, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stszeszynski, and children, Le Center, Minn.; the five sisters, mr. and Mrs. John (Agnes) Siler, Mr. and Mrs. Leo (Victoria) Siler, Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Mary) Borowick, Mrs. Helen Lesnaski and two daughters, Helen and Mrs. Fred Metry and children, St. Paul; and Mrs. Hattie Cordes, Wausau. 
 

Other relatives here were Ted Borsavage, Lewis Borowick, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sours, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Borsavage and children and Mrs. Emil Hertz, Wausau; Mrs. Harry Marks, Mrs. Phil Gordon, Mrs. Frank Burzynski, Peter Iwaience, and Matt Gawell, Chicago. 
 

Friends at the funeral services included Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jarocki, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lukas, and Mrs. Norman Lukas, Abbotsford; and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Richter and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mann, of Dorchester.
