THORP -- Jean A. Stasila, 90, of Thorp died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp. 
 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery. 
 

Visitation will be held Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. 
 

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jean Ann Warzecha was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Gary, Ind., to Walter and Eva (Dija) Warzecha. She was united in marriage to Casey Stasila on Oct. 12, 1940, in Chicago. After her marriage, Jean worked in a sewing factory and grocery store until her family moved to Thorp in November 1951. Casey and Jean farmed until 1966. 
 

Jean is survived by her two children, Patricia (Kenneth) Malecki and William (Carol) Stasila both of Thorp; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Louis Warzecha of Chicago. 
 

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Casey, on March 10, 1996. 
 

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
