Funeral services for Will Williams, who died Oct. 4, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Presbyterian church, followed by internment in the Abbotsford cemetery. The Rev. Richard Harrison officiated at the rites and special music was provided by Dick Kennedy with Miss Lois Ehrenreich as accompanist.

Pallbearers were half brothers and nephews of the deceased: Peter, Elmer, Clarence, Richard, Clifford, and Harold Williams.

The flowers were carried by Mrs. Richard Williams, Mrs. Harold Williams, and the Misses Mary, Jean, and Geraldine Williams, nieces.

Among the relatives from a distance who attended the funeral was Mrs. Minnie Sutherland, sister of Mrs. Williams, of Tomahawk.

Will Williams was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. July 16, 1880. When he was about a year old his parents moved to this part of Wisconsin. He received his education at Curtiss.

On Dec. 31, 1907, he was married at Curtiss to Anna Jensel. Mr. Williams was a carpenter and contractor and also served as village president at Curtiss.

Five years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Williams moved to Abbotsford. He died at his home Oct. 4, at 6:30 p.m. at the age of 75 years and two months.

Surviving him are his widow and their only daughter, Mrs. O. A. (Margaret) Laabs, of Milan. There are two grand children, James and Judy Laabs.

Other survivors are his step-mother, living at Milwaukee; brothers, Tom, of Alaska; Harvey, of Curtiss; Guy, of Spokane, Wash.; Otto and Walter, and a sister, Leda, of New York; half sister, Elsie Walkman, of Curtiss; and half brothers, William, Clarence, Elmer and Peter, of Milwaukee, and Martin, of Dorchester. Two brothers, Olaf, of Florida, and Elias, of Idaho, preceded him in death.

(Corrections below provided by a relative)

In updating my Family Tree records for William Williams, I noticed two incorrect names in his obituary from the Abbotsford Tribune.  In the last paragraph, survivor names should be changed from "Harvey" to Harry of Curtiss;  and from "William" to Melvin.

I realize the errors must have originated with the original publications, but if it is possible to make corrections now, please do so.

Thanks again.
