Gillard, Thomas A. "Dell" (17 August 1869 - 20 July 1952) 
 

Thomas A. Gillard, known as Dell Gillard, 82, of 901 Hewett Street, died at the Neillsville Hospital on Sunday.  He suffered a stroke five days before. 
 

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Stucki officiating.  Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mr. Gillard was born August 17, 1869, in the Town of Grant to James and Rosetta (Flick) Gillard.  He received his education in the rural schools and was employed by the County highway department for many years.  
 

He was married to Gladys Rose at Neillsville on July 29, 1923. 
 

He is survived by his wife and the following children - Mrs. June Colthard, Mrs. Nathan (Ethel) Riphenburg, Evylin and Richard Gillard of Neillsville, Harry Gillard of Minnesota and one step-son, Lee Rose of Milwaukee; also one brother, Arthur Gillard of Watertown, and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Ross and Mrs. Olivia Bauman of Neillsville.  One brother, James, and four sisters, Melissa, May, Blanche and Pearl, preceded him in death.
