Hankey, Ernest Otto (28 December 1880 - 19 July 1952)  
 

Ernest Otto Hankey, 71, of Lynn died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at his farm home.  Death was attributed to cancer of the throat. 
 

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday from the Nasonville Community Church with the Rev. Arthur Oates of Marshfield officiating.  Interment was made in the Lynn Cemetery.  The body lay in state at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton until Tuesday Noon, when it was taken to the church. 
 

Mr. Hankey was born on December 28, 1880, in the Town of Lynn.  He received his elementary education there.  On November 10, 1907, he was married to Belle Riedel of Nasonville.  They resided on a farm for several years in the Town of Fremont.  Mr. Hankey was superintendent of the Lindsey Telephone Company and was an elder in the Nasonville Community Church. 
 

He is survived by his wife, a son, Carl of Madison, five daughters - Mrs. Mervin (Dorothy) Heinrich, Nasonville; Mildred at home; Mrs. Art (Evelyn) Garbrecht of San Antonio, Tex.; Mrs. Hazel Yarwood, Madison; and Mrs. Norbert (Marion) Michels, Marshfield; also six grandchildren. 
 

A son, five sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
