Frasier, Benjamin F. (1857-June 16, 1910)

Ben Frasier died last Thursday at his home in Loyal, and was buried Saturday afternoon.  Mr. Frasier was the former superintendent of the county farm, was prominent in the Lynn Mutual Insurance Co., and was well and favorably known in all parts of the county.

Benjamin F. Frasier was born in Fond du Lac County in 1857, and was united in marriage to Rosalie Roscoe in 1879.  To this union two sons were born, one of whom, Roy, died a few years ago.  In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Frasier moved to Clark County, settling in the town of Beaver and building up a very fine farm.  Mr. Frasier was quite active in public affairs and held several minor offices.  At the time he was selected as superintendent of the county farm, he was acting as chairman from his town.  During his administration of affairs at the county farm, for about three years, the conduct of the farm was highly satisfactory to the county.  Mr. Frasier was also prominently connected with the Lynn Mutual Insurance Co., and he contributed much to the success of the company.  Mr. Frasier was also a director in the First National Bank of this city.

For some months Mr. Frasier has been in very poor health, treatment in a Milwaukee sanitarium not benefiting him.  He came back here and seemed to gain considerably so that a couple of weeks ago he and his wife moved to Loyal, there to take up their residence.  Mr. Frasier is survived by his wife and son, John, who operates the home farm in town Beaver.

Mr. Frasier was a high type of honorable manhood.  His sterling qualities and sobriety made him many friends throughout the county.  He was industrious, capable and combined a high degree of intelligence in his business operations.

The funeral was conducted Saturday by Rev. Burrows of this city, assisted by Revs. Philpot and Kildow of Loyal.  Among those who attended the funeral from this city were Charles Cornelius, George Crothers, A.B. Marsh, W.H. Woodworth, O.S. Raymond and wife, Fred Draper and wife and daughter.
