Special Premiums at Fair Are Donated by the Merchants

 

A.H. Holveyson will give a pair of $6.25 leather fly nets for best farm team.

 

A.B. Marsh, the flour and feed man, offers one barrel Gold Medal flour for the best two loaves of bread made from Gold Medal flour, and one fourth barrel for second best two loaves made from Gold Medal.

 

H.H. Eberhardt offers one nice easy chair or rocker to the oldest gentleman or lady attending the fair.

 

Matt Marx: One whip for the best driving team.

 

T.E. Brameld: $1 jardinière for the best display of flowers, and 75 cent jardinière for the second best display.

 

P.N. Nelson: One dozen star cut glass tumblers for young lady under 15 years making best doughnuts.

 

Tragsdorf, Zimmerman & Co., one plush morris chair for family purchasing the largest number of admission tickets to the fair.

 

W.J. Marsh Dry Goods Co.: One $1.50 silk umbrella for young lady under 16 making best loaf of bread; one $1.50 ladies hand bag for young lady under 16 making best cake of any kind; one $1 gold collar pin for young lady under 16 making best fancy apron.

 

Neillsville Tea & Coffee Store: 50 cents worth of spices to the young lady making the best spice cake.

 

H.W. Klopf: Gold pen to young lady exhibiting best drawing; gold pen to young lady exhibiting best needlework.

 

Neillsville Times: Offers one year’s subscription for best of the following exhibits: Best draft stallion, Holstein bull, Guernsey bull, Jersey bull, Shorthorn bull, pen white and barred Plymouth Rock chickens, white and brown leghorn chickens, white bread, brown bread, display plants, devils food and angels food cake, dairy butter.

 

E.A. Holcomb: An open bridle for best single driving horse exhibited by a farmer.

 

Denis Tourigny: one gal. can Zeta Fly Chaser for best exhibit early potatoes; one galvanized bushel basket for best late potatoes.

 

Cash Hardware: One No. 8 universal read mixer for best fresh cocoanut cake.

 

Matt Kappellan: One pair $2.50 shoes for winner of boys bicycle race on Thursday.

 

B. Dangers & Co.: One silk umbrella for best exhibit corn by Clark County farmer.

 

C.C. Sniteman Co.: 50 cent package of lice powder for best display of chickens; 50 cent package Premium stock food for best dairy cow.

 

F.P. Hemp: Fine berry set for prettiest baby brought to the fair.

 

Kutchera & Albright: one half barrel Ardee flour to farmer lady showing best loaf bread made from Ardee flour.

 

Seif & Stelloh: One milk pail holder and one buddy oiler for best German Coach suckling colt.

 

Schuster & Campman: Five dollar gold piece to the handsomest baby under 10 months of age.  Officers of fair association and progeny barred from this contest.  Babies entered for this prize to be at the art building at 2 o’clock p.m., Sept. 2nd.

 

A. Blum: To prettiest baby not over two years, at the fair, 1 silk embroidery hood, 1 pair fine baby shoes, 1 pair baby stockings.

 

Mrs. G.L. Redmond:  $1.00 for the best Sunshine cake; $1.00 best Angel food cake.
